The Triangle West Transportation Planning Organization (Triangle West TPO) is undergoing a Federal Planning Certification Review. Federal Planning Certification is a process that occurs every four (4) years to ensure compliance with federal law. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will jointly review and evaluate the transportation planning process. A certification review includes a desk review of the TPO’s planning process and products, an in-person meeting to discuss planning topics, and a final report. Triangle West TPO will have the opportunity to review the draft report for factual verification and provide comments.
As a part of the Federal Planning Certification Review process, a public hearing will be hosted at the upcoming Triangle West TPO Board Meeting on March 24, 2026 at 9:00am. Members of the community are welcome to provide comments during the public hearing. Additional details regarding the public hearing are listed below:
