Public Participation ensures that everyone is included in transportation planning and decision-making. Through this process, people are consulted and included in the decision-making process. Triangle West TPO has a history of public participation in regional and transportation planning processes since the 1990s.
The Public Participation Plan – formerly referred to as the Public Involvement Policy or PIP – was adopted in April 2025 and explains how community members and other stakeholders can participate in the regional transportation planning processes.
