Background
The Chapel-Hill Transit High-Capacity Transit Corridor Feasibility Study is being conducted to identify potential high-capacity transit options within the Chapel-Hill-Carrboro area that would enhance connectivity among key destinations within the Triangle West TPO region and match these corridors to appropriate high-capacity transit service models.
The plan is a collaborative effort between Chapel Hill Transit and Triangle West and aims to do the following
- Identify and assess potential high-capacity transit corridors
- Identify regional connections and match corridors with service types
- Develop an implementation strategy to plan, fund, and service the routes
