The Triangle West TPO is comprised of jurisdictions and local, state, and national agencies that are responsible for transportation planning throughout the TPO area. The TPO members have staff who participate in the Technical Committee (TC) and some members have elected officials and other representatives who participate and vote on the TPO Board. The TPO's members of the Technical Committee and TPO Board are established by a Memorandum of Understanding.
